Ellessar's Betrayal

Description

The heroes were having a great day. Not to long ago they were hired by a wealthy merchant whose wife had been abducted by thugs and who had demanded a 12000 gold pieces ransom. Today, during the transaction, Ellesar and Tehekai had chased down and overtaken the thugs who had shown up to collect the gold, leaving behind the mage Bartholomew, who wasn’t particularly agile and enduring enough to keep up. At that point Ellesar came up with the idea to hide the ransom so that they could afterwards divide it amongst themselves and give the merchant a story about how one tug still got away with the money. Tehekai readily agreed, and whilst Ellesar went about burying the treasure Teheaki guarded the thug that would lead them to the woman still kept hostage.

Soon enough Ellesar and Tehekai marched through the woods to safe the fair lady. At this point Tehekai decided he would rather keep the 12000 gold pieces to himself and backstabbed Ellesar. Twice. He then hid the gold in an other location, gave himself a few cuts with his knife and returned to Bartholomew to tell him of Ellessar’s tragic demise at the hands of those cowardice bandits.

This is based on a true D&D story, I being Tehekai. I have a darker side too you know.

Mheee, I’m not UNhappy about this piece, but I feel like it had so much more going for it. I like how Tehekai came out, but I’m not too fond of Ellesar. Coloration could have been better too. Oh well, practice makes perfect.

This is how lizardfolk get bad reps you know? XD

It actually is nicely done, the way you pulled off the portrayal of betraying the other
