Journeys and Adventures by Saurus Journeys and Adventures by Saurus
Finished at last! I’ve been pushing this project around so long it’s been driving me mad! I suppose I could have completed it in a week’s work or so, but I guess the number of figures and the large background were a bit daunting. The reason I started it in the first place was because I promised to make a friend of mine a parting gift for her six month work trip to Portugal. As it stands, it’ll be serving as a welcome-back gift, as she’s returning far sooner then expected. The image represents our AD&D party.

From left to right it shows:
-Leowar the battle mage. Also the most powerful figure of the party stat-wise.
-Rune the snow elf, being the party’s very own Pegasus Knight and mobile armoury.
-Elleseon, the half-elf warrior. Incidentally, he inherited the sword of Ellesar, who died a tragic dead just days prior to him joining the party.
-Auron, the half-drow archer, who only recently joined the group. This character was initially going to be female, by the way, so evidently I had to do some re-sketching.
-And finally my very own Tehekai, assassin extraordinaire. Not that anyone knows ofcourse. As far as they’re concerned, he’s simply a skilled acrobatic bard that plays the pan flute and enjoys sleeping, swimming and sunbathing more then anything.

Glad I have this behind me. On to new projects!

Looks very good.
I hope they will survive this ambush.
But I think they will.

D and D is a game I wish I new a little more about. I live in a small town (again) and the stock of people who play is small to nill.

I like how you hide the verious goblins around the image and placed them in a sort of grove. Forbodding yess

I’ve been playing for a few years now, and I still don’t fully grasp the rules. As long as the DM does, that’s all that matters really. And you’d be surprised how many D&D players you’d find in your neighbourhood. It just needs a stroke of luck to track ‘m down. Best way would be to see (i.e. Google) if there’s a local gaming store/gathering area where such people might meet, and ask if you could watch a game. They’re generally a friendly bunch, so you’d be soon to be included.

And as ever, thanks for the comment mate! :)

Woah! That's really kool! I love the texture on the grass, and the little dark guys hiding behind the trees!

I'm guessing the lizardman was your character? :D

Brushes for tha win! The grass is my most important brush when drawing landscap-ish thingies :)

And evidently it is. Tehekai is by far my favorite RPG character ever. He's also my first character ever for a tabletop RPG. He's still only level 6 though. The rate at which we play sessions would make most RPGers crinch, I'm sure :D

And thanks on the fav mate! Most apreciated!

Our slowness could very well baffle modern day science, so we might out-slow even Romanek :D

We role-play roughly on a monthly basis. That is to say, we have three RPG's going, so we play AD&D on a rough three-months basis. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It tends to move in bursts.

While the thought had occured to me, I doubt I could keep at it long enough for it to become a reality. Perhaps in the future, if my technique and efficiency improves a little.
