Keeper of Memories by Saurus Keeper of Memories by Saurus
Mighty was the empire at its pinnacle of the golden age, but now all that remains is rubble and dust; broken ruins, the last vestiges to hint at what once stood on these very hilltops. Where once mighty palaces and grand temples were erected now is seen only grassy plains. Where once mighty heroes walked across marble paved plazas now grow trees and meadows. These figures of legend still roam among us in thoughts, though few still remember them. Those who listened carefully might still hear their words on the winds.

A single figure still wanders these hills, an aged marked saurus that once walked amongst these legends. In silent solitude he traverses these lands with the sole purpose to preserve the memory of the fallen empire and its long gone inhabitants. He lives content with his loneliness, a pensive smile on his lips, and always willing to tell a passer-by of those ancient days. The last Keeper of Memories.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In honour of the old WarcraftIII RPG forum. I had hoped to use this picture on the forum in the last days of existence, but since the RPG forum recently got deleted, that will never be, unfortunately. Of course, all the legends of that time have moved on, and we still see each other on other forums, but it was still sad to see the old forum die.

Lots of soft colours in this drawing! Relatively speaking of course. I'm happy with the line art for a change. My backgrounds are still a major weak point, so once a gain I cheated and used a picture as a backdrop. I really should practice those more often. All in all, I think I did a fairly good job. Enjoy!

Ooooh, they moved it in with the writing section now a days! Thanks for pointing that out! When the previous link to the forums got deleted I browsed till I found the main page again, and noticed the RPG section had just vanished, thus concluding it was reduced to oblivion. You wouldn't perchance still have the power to enable html or img tags in that place would you? Or could you perchance request as such?

I haven't had powers there... in, uh, forever, and even when I did, I think such settings are only accessible to the admin. You're as free to make requests as I am, though I'd caution against asking for html/img tags being enabled. Last I heard they were disabled for security/bandwidth reasons (respectively) and to the best of my knowledge the admins' concerns are still valid.

Oh well.

But you were the RPG forum admin at some point in history! You must have had some sort of power over space and time, no?

Er, that is—I only ever had moderator powers, technically. At one point I was pretty much running the whole forum, but that was in name and in stead of the AWOL staff.

hehe. Well, I was under the assumption that you did in fact had such powers as to enable HTML and the like, and you could parhaps still have those if they never removed your powers, so i figured I might as well ask. I doubt they would allow codes in the writing forum if I ask, but I might give it a go.

Nice, The image is great the tatoos are my favorite part. It's kind of a depressing story, but it's nice to see you put your usual style and thought like always. I must say I am a fan of that whole decadence theme though.

Thanks mate! I like the tatoos as well. I got the inspiration from when in a fit of artistic expression I drew tribal tatoos al over my arms and chest with a thick black marker a while ago :D

And yes, the demise of the forum might be depressing, but I'd rather celebrate it existed to begin with :)

And I'd love to see you're take on a tribute to the Warcraft III forums :)
